 1                    AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2493
 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill  2493  on  page  1,
 3    line 12, by inserting after "programs." the following:
 4    "No  student  shall  be  required  to  take or participate in
 5    instruction  on  organ/tissue   donor   and   transplantation
 6    programs  if  a  parent  or  guardian files written objection
 7    thereto on constitutional grounds, and  refusal  to  take  or
 8    participate in such instruction on those grounds shall not be
 9    reason  for suspension or expulsion of a student or result in
10    any academic penalty.".
