          Appropriates $2 to the Department of Corrections for  the
      purpose  of  studying correctional issues.  Effective July 1,
      1998.

 1        AN ACT making  an  appropriation  to  the  Department  of
 2    Corrections.
 3        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 4    represented in the General Assembly:
 5        Section 5.  The sum of $2, or so much thereof as  may  be
 6    necessary,  is  appropriated to the Department of Corrections
 7    for the purpose of studying  correctional issues.
 8        Section 99.  Effective date.  This Act takes effect  July
 9    1, 1998.
