          Makes an appropriation of $1 to the Department of  Public
      Health  for  its ordinary and contingent expenses.  Effective
      July 1, 1998.

 1        AN ACT making appropriations.
 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:
 4        Section  5.   The amount of $1, or so much of that amount
 5    as may be necessary, is appropriated  to  the  Department  of
 6    Public Health for its ordinary and contingent expenses.
 7        Section  99.   Effective  date.  This Act takes effect on
 8    July 1, 1998.
