          Appropriates $1 to the Department of Human  Services  for
      the  Temporary  Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program.
      Effective July 1, 1998.

 1        AN ACT making an appropriation to the Department of Human
 2    Services.
 3        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 4    represented in the General Assembly:
 5        Section  5.   The amount of $1, or so much thereof as may
 6    be necessary, is appropriated  to  the  Department  of  Human
 7    Services  for  the  Temporary  Assistance  for Needy Families
 8    (TANF) program.
 9        Section 99.  Effective date.  This Act takes effect  July
10    1, 1998.
