          Appropriates $3,000,000 to the State Board  of  Education
      to  purchase financial accounting systems for Illinois school
      districts.  Effective July 1, 1998.

 1        AN ACT making an appropriation  to  the  State  Board  of
 2    Education.
 3        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 4    represented in the General Assembly:
 5        Section 5.  The sum of $3,000,000, or  so  much  of  that
 6    amount  as  may  be  necessary,  is appropriated to the State
 7    Board of Education for the purchase of  financial  accounting
 8    systems for the public school districts of the State.
 9        Section  99.  Effective date.  This Act takes effect July
10    1, 1998.
