          Appropriates  $2,000,000  to  the  Department  of  Public
      Health to implement the Cancer Research Act.  Effective  July
      1, 1998.

 1        AN ACT making appropriations.
 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:
 4        Section 5.  The amount of $2,000,000, or so much of  that
 5    amount  as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General
 6    Revenue Fund to the Department of Public Health to  implement
 7    the Cancer Research Act.
 8        Section  99.  Effective date.  This Act takes effect July
 9    1, 1998.
