      720 ILCS 5/33A-2          from Ch. 38, par. 33A-2
          Amends the Criminal Code  of  1961.   Makes  a  stylistic
      change in Section defining the offense of armed violence.

 1        AN  ACT  to  amend  the Criminal Code of 1961 by changing
 2    Section 33A-2.
 3        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 4    represented in the General Assembly:
 5        Section  5.   The  Criminal  Code  of  1961 is amended by
 6    changing Section 33A-2 as follows:
 7        (720 ILCS 5/33A-2) (from Ch. 38, par. 33A-2)
 8        Sec. 33A-2. Armed violence-Elements of the offense.
 9        A person commits armed violence when, while armed with  a
10    dangerous  weapon,  he  or  she commits any felony defined by
11    Illinois Law.
