          Amends the Medical Patient Rights Act.  Makes a stylistic
      change in provisions regarding the purpose of the Act.

 1        AN ACT  to  amend  the  Medical  Patient  Rights  Act  by
 2    changing Section 1.
 3        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 4    represented in the General Assembly:
 5        Section 5.  The Medical Patient Rights Act is amended  by
 6    changing Section 1 as follows:
 7        (410 ILCS 50/1) (from Ch. 111 1/2, par. 5401)
 8        Sec.  1.  The purpose of this Act is to establish certain
 9    rights for medical patients and to provide a penalty for  the
10    violation of those rights thereof.
