          Appropriates $750,000 to the Department of Public  Health
      to  fund  its Hepatitis C programs for the fiscal year ending
      June 30, 1999 as required by law.  Effective immediately.

 1        AN ACT making  an  appropriation  to  the  Department  of
 2    Public Health.
 3        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 4    represented in the General Assembly:
 5        Section 5.  The sum of $750,000, or so  much  thereof  as
 6    may be necessary, is appropriated to the Department of Public
 7    Health  to  fund its Hepatitis C programs for the fiscal year
 8    ending June 30, 1999 as required by law.
 9        Section 99.  Effective date.  This Act takes effect  upon
10    becoming law.
