      725 ILCS 207/20
          Amends  the  Sexually  Violent  Persons  Commitment  Act.
      Makes  a  stylistic  change  in  Section  that  states   that
      proceedings under the Act are civil in nature.

 1        AN  ACT  to amend the Sexually Violent Persons Commitment
 2    Act by changing Section 20.
 3        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 4    represented in the General Assembly:
 5        Section  5.   The Sexually Violent Persons Commitment Act
 6    is amended by changing Section 20 as follows:
 7        (725 ILCS 207/20)
 8        Sec. 20.  Civil nature of  proceedings.  The  proceedings
 9    under  this  Act shall be civil in nature.  The provisions of
10    the  Civil  Practice  Law,  and  all  existing   and   future
11    amendments  of  that Law shall apply to all proceedings under
12    this Act hereunder except as otherwise provided in this Act.
