          Appropriates  $1  to  the  Department  of  Commerce   and
      Community  Affairs  for  grants to new businesses.  Effective
      July 1, 1998.

 1        AN  ACT  making  appropriations  to  the  Department   of
 2    Commerce and Community Affairs.
 3        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 4    represented in the General Assembly:
 5        Section 5.  The amount of $1, or so much of  that  amount
 6    as  may  be  necessary,  is appropriated to the Department of
 7    Commerce and Community Affairs for grants to new businesses.
 8        Section 99.  Effective date.  This Act  takes  effect  on
 9    July 1, 1998.
