          Appropriates $1 to the Department of Children and  Family
      Services for social  programs.  Effective July 1, 1998.

 1        AN ACT making appropriations.
 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:
 4        Section 5.  The amount of $1, or so much of  that  amount
 5    as  may  be    necessary,  is  appropriated  from the General
 6    Revenue Fund to  the  Department  of    Children  and  Family
 7    Services for social programs.
 8        Section  99.  Effective date.  This Act takes effect July
 9    1, 1998.
