                   HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION
    WHEREAS, The State  Board  of  Education  has  filed  its
report,  dated October 1, 1998, with the Senate, the House of
Representatives, and the Secretary of State  of  Illinois  as
required by Section 2-3.25g of the School Code; therefore, be
it
    RESOLVED,   BY   THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES  OF  THE
NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF  THE  STATE  OF  ILLINOIS,  THE
SENATE CONCURRING HEREIN, That the request made by Midlothian
School  District  143  -  Cook  with  respect  to  substitute
teachers,  identified  in the report filed by the State Board
of Education as request WM198-1040, is disapproved.
