1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of this Body were saddened to learn
3 of the death of Mr. Richard F. Bayer of Palatine on Saturday,
4 May 24, 1997; and
5 WHEREAS, Born in Chicago on September 25, 1928, Richard
6 Bayer had worked with Mutual Life Insurance of New York until
7 his retirement after thirty-five years of service; and
8 WHEREAS, Richard Bayer leaves a legacy of community
9 involvement and civic concern which includes affiliation with
10 the Palatine Jaycees, the Illinois Jaycees, the Rotary Club
11 of Palatine, Palatine Masonic Lodge #314 A.F.&A.M., Palatine
12 Chapter #206 R.A.M., and Jobs Daughters; and
13 WHEREAS, He was a member of the Jaycees Hall of Fame, and
14 served as a Supervisor of Palatine Township for twelve years;
15 and
16 WHEREAS, His passing will be deeply felt by his family
17 and friends, especially his wife, Mary Hester; his sons,
18 Keith and James; his daughter, Donna; his daughters-in-law,
19 Debra and Sue; his son-in-law, Lee Hewitt; his grandchildren,
20 Shawn, Bradley, David, Jennifer, Kathryn, Alexander,
21 Jonathan, and Zachary; and his brother, James; therefore, be
22 it
23 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
24 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
25 note with sorrow and regret the death of Richard F. Bayer and
26 extend our sincere condolences to his family and friends; and
27 be it further
28 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
29 presented to his wife, Mrs. Mary Hester Bayer, as an
30 expression of our sympathy.
