1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The Illinois House of Representatives wishes to
3 send their sincere condolences to the family of State Trooper
4 Anthony Millison, who passed away on Monday, October 27,
5 1997; and
6 WHEREAS, Anthony Millison was born in Chicago, Illinois
7 on July 17, 1953; he was a graduate of Calumet High School
8 and earned his Bachelors Degree in criminology from the
9 University of Illinois circle campus in Chicago; and
10 WHEREAS, Anthony Millison was a ten-year employee with
11 the federal government; he served six years of military duty;
12 Anthony Millison was an active part of the community, serving
13 as a coach for little league baseball; and
14 WHEREAS, Anthony Millison will be remembered for his
15 dedication to the State police; Anthony Millison was a hard
16 working State trooper, who liked working with the people he
17 served; he was a district representative for the Fraternal
18 Order of Police, as well as served as their Scholarship
19 Chairman; he was an active member of the Association of Black
20 Law Enforcement officers; Anthony Millison was a trainer of
21 younger troopers, and was a member of Minorities in
22 Government; and
23 WHEREAS, Anthony Millison is survived by his loving wife
24 Shirle and his son Marcus; he is also fondly remembered by
25 his fellow troopers; therefore, be it
26 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
27 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
28 send our sympathy to the family and friends of Anthony
29 Millison, who will be remembered as a dedicated and hard
30 working part of the Illinois State Police; and be it further
31 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be

2 Illinois.
