1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of this Body are happy to recognize
3 individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the
4 well-being of the citizens of this State; and
5 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that the Salem Days
6 Fest, Inc. sponsors a festival each September honoring "Days
7 of Our Lives", a television program which takes place in
8 Salem, U.S.A.; and
9 WHEREAS, Because of the hard work and devotion of
10 hundreds of volunteers, the festival was a tremendous success
11 and brought thousands of tourists to Salem; and
12 WHEREAS, It was due to these volunteers that so many
13 tourists visited Salem and brought an increase to Illinois
14 tourism; therefore, be it
15 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
16 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
17 take this opportunity to thank the many volunteers of the
18 Salem Days Fest, Inc. and wish them the best of luck in the
19 future; and be it further
20 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
21 presented to Melva L. Wilzbach, of Salem Days Fest, Inc., on
22 behalf of all the volunteers who made the festival a success.
