1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 9
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 9, on page 2, line
3 25, by replacing "1-4, and 3" with "and 1-4"; and
4 on page 4, by replacing lines 14 through 21 with the
5 following:
6 (720 ILCS 135/1-3 new)
7 "Sec. 1-3. Evidence inference. Evidence that a
8 defendant made additional telephone calls or engaged in
9 additional electronic communications after having been
10 requested by a named complainant or by a family or household
11 member of the complainant to stop may be considered as
12 evidence of an intent to harass unless disproved by evidence
13 to the contrary."; and
14 on page 5, by deleting lines 29 through 33; and
15 on page 6, by deleting lines 1 through 30.
