1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 143
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 143, on page 1 by
3 deleting lines 5 through 26 and on page 2 by deleting lines 1
4 through 8, and by inserting in lieu thereof the following:
5 "Section 1. "AN ACT making appropriations and
6 reappropriations," Public Act 89-0501, approved June 28,
7 1996, is amended by changing Sections 3A, 4A, and 6A of
8 Article 77 and by adding Sections 29.1, 29.2, 29.3, 29.5,
9 29.6, and 29.7 to Article 77 as follows:

11 Sec. 3A. The following named amounts, or so much thereof
12 as may be necessary, are appropriated from the General
13 Revenue Fund to the Capital Development Board for the
14 Department of Corrections for the projects hereinafter

26 Sec. 29.1. The amount of $3,349,400, or so much thereof

29 construction, renovation, and all other necessary costs for
30 the underground mainline electrical feeders 1 and 2 and
31 branch feeders 10, 11, and 12 at Southern Illinois University

1 at Carbondale.
2 (P.A. 89-501, Art. 77, Sec. 29.2 new)
3 Sec. 29.2. The sum of $4,000,000, or so much of that
4 amount as may be necessary, is appropriated to the Capital
5 Development Board from the General Revenue Fund for equipment
6 for the new science building at Illinois State University at
7 Normal.
8 (P.A. 89-501, Art. 77, Sec. 29.3 new)
9 Sec. 29.3. The sum of $3,391,000, or so much of that
10 amount as may be necessary, is appropriated to the Capital
11 Development Board from the General Revenue Fund for Phase II
12 flood mitigation and control activities at Northern Illinois
13 University in DeKalb.
14 (P.A. 89-501, Art. 77, Sec. 29.5 new)
15 Sec. 29.5. The amount of $850,200, or so much thereof as
16 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue
17 Fund to the Capital Development Board for Western Illinois
18 University to plan, design, repair, and renovate coal boilers
19 2 and 3.
20 (P.A. 89-0501, Art. 77, Sec. 29.6 new)
21 Sec. 29.6. The amount of $2,432,200, or so much thereof
22 as may be necessary is appropriated from the General Revenue
23 Fund to the Capital Development Board for the Board of Higher
24 Education for the projects hereinafter enumerated:

26 For renovating campus buildings and
27 upgrading mechanical systems ................. 2,432,200

2 Sec. 29.7. The amount of $500,000 or so much thereof as
3 may be necessary is appropriated from the General Revenue
4 Fund to the Department of Natural Resources for the Office of
5 Water Resources for Chicago Harbor/Lake Michigan Control
6 leakage at the mouth of the Chicago River."; and
7 on page 82, line 10, by replacing "87-0022" with "89-0022";
8 and
9 on page 82, line 14, by replacing "Perserve" with "Preserve";
10 and
11 on page 30 by deleting lines 22 through 31, and on page 31 by
12 deleting lines 1 through 2, and by inserting in lieu thereof
13 the following:
14 "Section 11. "AN ACT making appropriations and
15 reappropriations," Public Act 89-0501, approved June 28,
16 1996, is amended by changing Article 53, Sections 14 and 25
17 as follows:

21 planning of fair facilities all costs associated with
22 construction, repair and maintenance of fairground
23 grandstands."; and
24 on page 8, by deleting lines 1 through 28, and on page 9 by
25 deleting 1 through 4, and by inserting in lieu thereof the
26 following:
27 "Section 5. "AN ACT making appropriations and
28 reappropriations," Public Act 89-0501, approved June 28,
29 1996, is amended by deleting Section 41 of Article A of
30 Article 79, and by changing Sections 9, 18, 21, 22 and 34 of
31 Article A of Article 79, and by adding Section 41a to Article

3 Sec. 9. The sum of $500,000 or so much of that amount as
4 may be necessary, is appropriated to the Illinois Department
5 of Transportation from the Build Illinois Bond Fund for a
6 grant to the City of Mt. Vernon for infrastructure
7 improvements under I-57.
8 (P.A. 89-0501, Art. 79, Art. A, Sec. 18)
9 Sec. 18. The sum of $120,000, or so much thereof as may
10 be necessary, is appropriated from the Build Illinois Bond
11 Fund to the Department of Transportation for all costs
12 associated with signalization improvements at DesPlaines
13 Avenue and Country Club Lane Harlem and 19th in North
14 Riverside.

16 Sec. 21. The sum of $250,000, or so much thereof as may
17 be necessary, is appropriated from the Build Illinois Bond
18 Fund to the Department of Natural Resources for
19 rehabilitation of the concession building and other park
20 improvements at Johnson Sauk Trail State Park in Henry County
21 Transportation for all costs associated with improvements to
22 Knox County Highway 10, Route 150.

24 Sec. 22. The sum of $300,000, or so much thereof as may
25 be necessary, is appropriated from the Build Illinois Bond
26 Fund to the Department of Transportation for all costs
27 associated with installing signalization of U.S. 34 and 11th
28 Street in the City of Monmouth planning the Route 67,

1 Roseville Bypass.
2 (P.A. 89-0501, Art. 79, Art. A, Sec 34)
3 Sec. 34. The sum of $150,000, or so much thereof as may
4 be necessary, is appropriated from the Build Illinois Bond
5 Fund to the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency for all
6 costs associated with wastewater and drinking water systems
7 water system development and improvements in the Village of
8 LaGrange Park.
9 (P.A. 89-0501, Art. 79, Art. A, Sec. 41a new)
10 Section 41a. The sum of $50,000, or so much thereof as
11 may be necessary is appropriated from the Build Illinois Bond
12 Fund to the Department of Commerce and Community Affairs for
13 a grant to the City of Savannah for the Savannah Army Depot
14 Local Redevelopment Authority for all costs associated with
15 the redevelopment of the Savannah Army Depot.".
