1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 417
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 417 as follows:
3 on page 2, below line 8, by inserting the following:
4 ""Long-term temporary arrangement" means an arrangement
5 where all or a significant number of employees from one
6 company are leased to another for a period in excess of 6
7 months or consecutive periods equal to or greater than one
8 year."; and
9 on page 2, line 22, by replacing "License; registration" with
10 "Registration"; and
11 on page 2, line 24, by replacing "obtaining a license from"
12 with "registering with the Department."; and
13 on page 2, by deleting line 25; and
14 on page 2, line 26, by deleting "license."; and
15 on page 3, by replacing lines 11 through 14 with the
16 following:
17 "(5) include a list of the officers and directors of";
18 and
19 on page 3, line 15, by deleting "interest in"; and
20 on page 3, by deleting lines 28 through 34; and

3 on page 5, line 9, by replacing "every 3 years" with
4 "annually"; and

7 on page 9, by deleting lines 4 through 7; and
8 on page 10, line 15, by replacing "licensee" with
9 "registrant"; and
10 on page 10, line 15, by deleting "in his or her"; and
11 on page 10, by replacing lines 16 and 17 with "in any court";
12 and
13 on page 10, by deleting lines 23 and 24; and
14 on page 10, line 30, by replacing "of" with "of: (i)"; and
15 on page 10, line 32, after "payable", by inserting ", (ii)
16 failing to remit premiums on behalf of a client company, or
17 (iii) otherwise converting moneys or other funds remitted by
18 the client company for payroll, insurance premiums, or other
19 benefits"; and
20 on page 10, line 32, by replacing "business offense" with
21 "Class A misdemeanor"; and
22 on page 11, by replacing lines 1 through 3 with "be subject
23 to restitution and a fine of $1,000 or the amount specified
24 in the offense, whichever is greater.".
