          Amends the Clerks of Courts Act.  Adds  a  caption  to  a
      Section concerning election of clerks.

 1        AN  ACT  to  amend  the  Clerks of Courts Act by changing
 2    Section 1.
 3        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 4    represented in the General Assembly:
 5        Section  5.   The  Clerks  of  Courts  Act  is amended by
 6    changing Section 1 as follows:
 7        (705 ILCS 105/1) (from Ch. 25, par. 1)
 8        Sec. 1. Election of clerks.  One  clerk  of  the  circuit
 9    court in each county shall be elected as provided by law, and
10    shall hold office until a successor is elected and qualified.
