          Amends the Illinois Municipal Code concerning the use  of
      the  title  of village president or mayor.  Makes a technical
      change.

 1        AN ACT to amend the Illinois Municipal Code  by  changing
 2    Section 1-1-2.1.
 3        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 4    represented in the General Assembly:
 5        Section 5.  The Illinois Municipal  Code  is  amended  by
 6    changing Section 1-1-2.1 as follows:
 7        (65 ILCS 5/1-1-2.1) (from Ch. 24, par. 1-1-2.1)
 8        Sec.  1-1-2.1. The president of a village or incorporated
 9    town may be referred to as mayor or  president  of  the  such
10    village or incorporated town.
