          Appropriates $1 to the Board of Higher Education to study
      the effectiveness of Economic Development Grants.   Effective
      July 1, 1997.

 1        AN ACT regarding appropriations.
 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:
 4        Section 1.  The sum of $1 is appropriated to the Board of
 5    Higher Education  to  study  the  effectiveness  of  Economic
 6    Development Grants.
 7        Section 5.  This Act takes effect July 1, 1997.
