          Appropriates $1 to the Department of  Public  Health  for
      its  ordinary  and  contingent  expenses.   Effective July 1,
      1997.

 1        AN ACT to make an  appropriation  to  the  Department  of
 2    Public Health for its ordinary and contingent expenses.
 3        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 4    represented in the General Assembly:
 5        Section 5.  The sum of $1, or so much of that  amount  as
 6    may  be  necessary,  is appropriated from the General Revenue
 7    Fund to the Department of Public health for its ordinary  and
 8    contingent expenses.
 9        Section  99.  Effective date.  This Act takes effect July
10    1, 1997.
