 1                    AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1210
 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend Senate Bill 1210 by  replacing
 3    the title with the following:
 4        "AN ACT to amend the State Mandates Act by adding Section
 5    8.22."; and
 6    by  replacing  everything  after the enacting clause with the
 7    following:
 8        "Section 5.  The State Mandates Act is amended by  adding
 9    Section 8.22 as follows:
10        (30 ILCS 805/8.22 new)
11        Sec.  8.22.  Exempt  mandate.  Notwithstanding Sections 6
12    and 8 of this Act, no reimbursement by the State is  required
13    for  the  implementation of any mandate created by Public Act
14    90-525.
15        Section 99. Effective date.  This Act takes  effect  upon
16    becoming law.".
