          Appropriates $1 from the  General  Revenue  Fund  to  the
      Department  of  Public Aid for a study of the State's options
      under the State Child Health Insurance  Program.    Effective
      July 1, 1998.

 1        AN ACT making appropriations.
 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:
 4        Section 5.  The amount of $1, or so much of  that  amount
 5    as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue
 6    Fund  to  the  Department  of  Public  Aid for a study of the
 7    State's  options  under  the  State  Child  Health  Insurance
 8    Program.
 9        Section 99.  Effective date. This  Act  takes  effect  on
10    July 1, 1998.
