          Amends the Veterans Preference Act  by  making  technical
      changes to the Section concerning contracts.

 1        AN  ACT  to amend the Veterans Preference Act by changing
 2    Section 2.
 3        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 4    represented in the General Assembly:
 5        Section  5.   The  Veterans  Preference Act is amended by
 6    changing Section 2 as follows:
 7        (330 ILCS 55/2) (from Ch. 126 1/2, par. 24)
 8        Sec. 2. Contracts.  Every  contract  for  the  such  work
 9    shall  contain  a  term providing for the preference given in
10    Section 1.
