          Makes appropriations to the  Board  of  Trustees  of  the
      State  Universities  Retirement  System for fiscal year 1999.
      Effective July 1, 1998.

 1        AN ACT making appropriations.
 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:
 4        Section  5.   The sum of $205,268,900, or so much thereof
 5    as may be necessary, is appropriated to the Board of Trustees
 6    of the State Universities Retirement System for  the  State's
 7    contribution, as provided by law.
 8        Section  99.  Effective date.  This Act takes effect July
 9    1, 1998.
