          Appropriates $1 to the Illinois  Commerce  Commission  to
      study  the  effectiveness  of  the  Rail Crossing Initiative.
      Effective July 1, 1998.

 1        AN ACT regarding appropriations.
 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:
 4        Section 1.  The sum of $1 is appropriated to the Illinois
 5    Commerce  Commission  to  study the effectiveness of the Rail
 6    Crossing Initiative.
 7        Section 5.  This Act takes effect July 1, 1998.
