1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate were saddened to learn
3 of the death of Mr. Thomas Bradley of Hyde Park on Sunday,
4 May 4, 1997; and
5 WHEREAS, Mr. Bradley was an executive with the Illinois
6 Department of Public Aid and also held a supervisory role
7 with the Department's Project Chance Program, helping aid
8 recipients to become financially independent; and
9 WHEREAS, Thomas Bradley attended Du Sable High School and
10 the University of Illinois at Chicago; he was a graduate of
11 the University of Illinois in Urbana, and received a master's
12 degree in education and administration from Roosevelt
13 University; and
14 WHEREAS, A former teacher at Hyde Park Career Academy,
15 Mr. Bradley previously was a consultant to the Chicago Mental
16 Health Foundation and had served as chief operating officer
17 and chief of administration for the Woodlawn Organization;
18 and
19 WHEREAS, Thomas Bradley, through his leadership and
20 compassion, personified the nobility of public service; his
21 passing will be deeply felt by his family and friends,
22 especially his wife, Darlene Paris; his son, Thomas; his
23 daughter, Carol; and his sister, Alice Kaiser; therefore, be
24 it
25 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY
26 OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we note with sorrow and regret
27 the death of Mr. Thomas Bradley and extend our sincere
28 condolences to his family and friends; and be it further
29 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
30 presented to his widow as an expression of our sympathy.
