1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3 to learn of the death of Clarence Maxwell of Hinsdale,
4 Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, Clarence Maxwell was a graduate of Bogan High
6 School in Chicago; he attended and graduated from DePaul
7 University; from 1976 to 1986 Mr. Maxwell taught business
8 management at DePaul University Graduate School of Business;
9 and
10 WHEREAS, Clarence Maxwell was a member of St. Isaac
11 Jogues Catholic Church in Hinsdale; Mr. Maxwell served the
12 church as a eucharistic minister, serving communion at mass,
13 hospitals, and to the church shut-ins; and
14 WHEREAS, Clarence Maxwell served his country during the
15 Vietnam War; as commanding officer of the Army Area Support
16 Command in Chicago, it was his unit's responsibility to
17 distribute food to the American and South Vietnamese forces;
18 for his hard work and dedication he received an Army
19 commendation medal and a presidential medal; and
20 WHEREAS, Clarence Maxwell served his community as a
21 former DuPage County administrator; for 3 1/2 years he ran
22 the daily operations for the Dupage County Board Chairman as
23 chief of staff; Mr. Maxwell also worked for the State as
24 assistant director of unemployment insurance and director of
25 the work incentive program; and
26 WHEREAS, Clarence Maxwell is survived by his loving wife,
27 Victoria; his son, Jeffrey; his daughter Victoria; his
28 father, Clarence; a brother and a sister; therefore, be it
29 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY
30 OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his
31 family and friends, the death of Clarence Maxwell of

2 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
3 presented to the family of Clarence Maxwell along with our
4 sincere condolences.
