1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3 to learn of the death of LeRoy August Hoffmann of Belleville,
4 Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, LeRoy Hoffmann was born on May 31, 1907 in
6 Belleville, Illinois to George and Barbara (Schaedler)
7 Hoffmann; on June 22, 1935 he married Mary Whalen in
8 Belleville; together they raised six sons and four daughters;
9 and
10 WHEREAS, LeRoy Hoffmann was a retired carpenter for the
11 Liese Lumber Co., in Belleville; he was a member of St.
12 Teresa's Catholic Church in Belleville, a lifetime member of
13 Knights of Columbus Council 1028, and a member of Carpenter's
14 Local Union #433; and
15 WHEREAS, LeRoy Hoffmann is survived by his loving wife
16 Mary; his sons, Donald, Robert and his wife JoAnn, Jim,
17 Michael and his wife Kim, and Roger and his wife Jan; his
18 daughters Janice Roy and her husband Dick, Kathleen Hoffmann,
19 and Teresa Jines and her husband Steve; his son-in-law August
20 "Gus" Lohmann; his sisters-in-law Bessie Schneeberger and
21 Aurelia Hoffman; his grandchildren Mary Barbara Kurtz and her
22 husband Jim, Michele Binkley and her husband Doug, Donna,
23 Kevin, and Julie Roy, Jeff Hoffmann and his wife Karen, Joe,
24 Becky, Josh, Carrie, Keith, Erika, Chris, Michael, Emma, and
25 Andrew Hoffmann, and Matthew and Jessica Jines; one great
26 grandchild Brandon Binkley, as well as many other family
27 members and friends; therefore, be it
28 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY
29 OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his
30 family and friends, the death of LeRoy Hoffmann of
31 Belleville, Illinois; and be it further

1 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
2 presented to the family of LeRoy Hoffmann, along with our
3 sincere condolences.
