1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3 to learn of the death of Barbara Jean Hines; and
4 WHEREAS, Barbara Jean Hines was born on March 11, 1953,
5 to Charles Hines, Jr., and Carrie L. Hines; "Bobbie" as she
6 was affectionately called by her family, was the first born
7 of five children; Bobbie accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior,
8 and He became the guiding light of her life; and
9 WHEREAS, Bobbie Hines was educated at St. Agatha grammar
10 school and was a 1972 graduate of St. Mary Catholic High
11 School; Bobbie worked twenty-two years for the Board of Trade
12 and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, where she is remembered
13 as a dedicated and loyal worker; Bobbie was loved by her
14 co-workers, who referred to her as Barb; and
15 WHEREAS, Barbara Hines is survived by her children, Tara
16 and Devon; her father, Charles Hines, Jr.; her grandmother,
17 Itasca; her two brothers, Charles Hines III and his wife,
18 Kim, and Dwayne and his wife, Michelle; her two sisters,
19 Sherron, and Michele Flournoy and her husband Michael; her
20 three grandchildren, Antonio Knight, Stormie Young, and
21 Barbara Young; her three nephews, Terrell, Dominique, and
22 Michael; her three nieces, Winchele Brown, Chavon, and
23 Chenee; her five aunts, Elaine, Lucille Lowery, Jessie
24 Johnson, Gloria Lewis, and Vernice Lewis; her three uncles,
25 Gilbert Lewis, L.W. Lewis and his wife Alberta, and Mose
26 Lewis; her close and loving cousin, John Lewis and his wife,
27 Sonny; her best friend, Angela Carter; and many other
28 relatives and friends; therefore, be it
29 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY
30 OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her
31 family, friends, and co-workers, the death of Barbara Jean
32 Hines; and be it further

1 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
2 presented to the family of Barbara Jean Hines, along with our
3 sincere condolences.
