1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate were saddened to learn
3 of the death of Bruce Edward Charlesworth of rural Chapin on
4 Wednesday, April 22, 1998; and
5 WHEREAS, He was born in Jacksonville on February 28,
6 1955, the son of Edward and Norma Farmer Charlesworth; and
7 WHEREAS, He graduated from Triopia High School in 1973
8 and from Illinois College in 1977 with a bachelor's degree in
9 business; and
10 WHEREAS, Mr. Charlesworth was engaged in farming and was
11 a builder and developer; he was a member of the Board of
12 Education at Triopia, where he also served as assistant
13 football coach; and
14 WHEREAS, He served as a commissioner for the Indian Creek
15 Drainage District and was a member of the Union Cemetery
16 Board, a member of the Jacksonville Elks Club, and a member
17 of Liter Baptist Church; he also attended Arenzville United
18 Methodist Church; and
19 WHEREAS, His passing will be deeply felt by his family
20 and friends, especially his wife, Connie; his daughter,
21 Vallery; his son, Aaron; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward
22 Charlesworth; and his sister and brother-in-law, Pam and
23 Steve Ginder; therefore, be it
24 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY
25 OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we note with sorrow and regret
26 the death of Bruce Edward Charlesworth and extend our sincere
27 condolences to his family and friends; and be it further
28 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
29 presented to Mrs. Connie Charlesworth.
