1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate were saddened to learn
3 of the death of Malcolm Jones of Aurora; and
4 WHEREAS, Malcolm Jones was well-known for his lifetime of
5 charitable works, donating to charitable organizations and
6 talking others into donating; and
7 WHEREAS, He began working at Richards Wilcox
8 Manufacturing in 1927 and later served as Vice President on
9 its Board of Directors; he was also a director of the Aurora
10 Foundation; and
11 WHEREAS, He was affiliated with the Aurora Rotary Club,
12 the YMCA, and the YWCA; he was a lifetime member of the New
13 England Congregational Church; and
14 WHEREAS, Malcolm Jones received numerous awards for his
15 charitable work; the YWCA dedicated its child-care center to
16 Mr. Jones and his late wife; and
17 WHEREAS, His passing will be felt by his family and
18 friends, especially his son, Malcolm, Jr.; his daughters,
19 Linda J. Ambersley, Sally Overstreet, Susan Harms, and Donna
20 J. Nelson; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren;
21 therefore, be it
22 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY
23 OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we note with sorrow and regret
24 the death of Malcolm Jones and extend our sincere condolences
25 to his family and friends; and be it further
26 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
27 presented to the family of Malcolm Jones.
