1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate were saddened to learn
3 of the death of William A. Cagle of Kimberling City,
4 Missouri, formerly of Woodridge; and
5 WHEREAS, Born in Chicago, Mr. Cagle began a career in
6 politics when he became a village trustee of Woodridge; later
7 he became mayor and served for one four-year term; and
8 WHEREAS, He then became the DuPage County purchasing
9 director; and
10 WHEREAS, Previous to his involvement in local politics
11 Mr. Cagle was in the U S. Army during World War II, later he
12 worked for the Central Intelligence Agency in Washington,
13 D.C.; and
14 WHEREAS, He then was a purchasing agent for Western
15 Union, where he worked for 30 years; and
16 WHEREAS, His passing will be deeply felt by his family
17 and friends, especially his wife, Helen Lorraine; his sons,
18 Bill, Rick, Jack, Jim, Larry, and Ken; his daughters, Denise,
19 Connie, Janice, and Mary; 21 grandchildren; and 12
20 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
21 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY
22 OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we note with sorrow and regret
23 the death of William A. Cagle and extend our sincere
24 condolences to his family and friends; and be it further
25 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
26 presented to his widow, Helen Lorraine Cagle.
