1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate are saddened to learn
3 of the death of Mrs. Willie Mae Mims on Friday, August 21,
4 l998; and
5 WHEREAS, She was the daughter of Steve and Agnes J.
6 Poole; she received her education in Birmingham, Alabama; and
7 WHEREAS, She was well known for her love of family; her
8 children, grandchildren, sisters, nieces, and nephews have
9 all received that love and will remember her for it; and
10 WHEREAS, Her passing will be felt by her family and
11 friends, especially her children, Elizabeth, Bruce, and
12 Bertram; her grandchildren, Denise, Artila, Kenyatta, Nedra,
13 Monica, and Anthony; her great-grandchildren, Steven, Jr.,
14 Johnathan, Kenya, Elyse, and Darryl; her sisters, Alberta
15 McClure, Arie Jackson, Geneva Rodgers, and Lela Mims; and her
16 brothers-in-law, Robert McClure and Ira Jackson; therefore,
17 be it
18 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY
19 OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we note with sorrow and regret
20 the death of Willie Mae Mims and extend our sincere
21 condolences to her family and friends; and be it further
22 RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be
23 presented to the family of Willie Mae Mims.
