1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate were saddened to learn
3 of the death of Mr. Randall H. Doctor of Aurora on Tuesday,
4 July 28, 1998; and
5 WHEREAS, He was born in Miami, Florida, on September 10,
6 1954, the son of Seymour and Jean Doctor; he graduated from
7 Miami Killian Senior High School and from Bradley University
8 in Peoria; and
9 WHEREAS, He began to work at Nicor Gas 16 years ago; he
10 culminated his career as the architect of Nicor Technologies
11 Inc. and a key figure in its international market presence;
12 and
13 WHEREAS, He was involved with the Order of the Arrow of
14 the Boy Scouts, National Guard Reserves in Panama, American
15 Gas Association, Cub Scout baseball as coach for Pack #326,
16 and Holy Angels Church; and
17 WHEREAS, His passing will be deeply felt by his family
18 and friends, especially his wife, Patricia; his children,
19 Timothy, Thomas, and Mary Theresa; his parents, Seymour and
20 Jean; his grandmother, Dorothy Sheppard; and his sister,
21 Betti Lynn Wilson; therefore, be it
22 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY
23 OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we note with sorrow and regret
24 the death of Randall H. Doctor and extend our most sincere
25 condolences to his family and friends; and be it further
26 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
27 presented to his widow, Patricia Doctor.
