1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate were saddened to learn
3 of the death of Kenneth B. Jenks of Monmouth on Saturday,
4 November 21, 1998; and
5 WHEREAS, He was born in Warren County on January 7, 1914,
6 the son of J. Clifford and Ruth Bruyn Jenks; he was reared
7 and educated in Monmouth and was a graduate of Monmouth High
8 School; and
9 WHEREAS, He was a farmer in Warren County; he served as
10 Hale Township Road Commissioner for 16 years; he worked on
11 the Santa Fe Pipeline; he was a member of the Hale Center
12 School Board and was Hale Booster 4-H Club leader for 17
13 years; and
14 WHEREAS, He was a member of the Fairview Center Church;
15 he was currently a member of the Kirkwood Westminster United
16 Presbyterian Church; he was also a member of the Monmouth Odd
17 Fellows #61, Kirkwood A. Lincoln Masonic Lodge, Monmouth
18 Order of the Eastern Star, the Old Sleepy Eye Collectors
19 Club, and the Blue & White Pottery Club; and
20 WHEREAS, His passing will be deeply felt by his family
21 and friends, especially his wife, Elsie S. Jenks; his son,
22 Fred C. Jenks; his daughters, Caroline Ault and Lynne
23 Denison; his daughter-in-law, Dixie Jenks; his sons-in-law,
24 Bill Ault and Maurice Denison; his granddaughters, Sherri
25 Ault, Kathy Ault, Kim Ault, Julie Jenks, Megan Jenks, and
26 Kaye Hennenfent; his great-granddaughters, Dylyn and Daryn
27 Hennenfent; his sister, Alice Hainline; and his brothers,
28 Harland, Loren, Robert, Russell, and Lynn Jenks; therefore,
29 be it
30 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY
31 OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we note with sorrow and regret

1 the death of Kenneth B. Jenks and extend our sincere
2 condolences to his family and friends; and be it further
3 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
4 presented to his widow, Elsie S. Jenks.
