1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to
3 express their sincere condolences to the family and friends
4 of William J. Dickson, Sr., who passed away on November 16,
5 1998; and
6 WHEREAS, Mr. Dickson was born in Trenton, New Jersey on
7 May 29, 1934; his parents were George and Mary Agnes Gibbons
8 Dickson; and
9 WHEREAS, Mr. Dickson was employed with Marmion Academy
10 and Marmion Abbey for 40 years; he was a United States Marine
11 Corps veteran of the Korean conflict; and
12 WHEREAS, Mr. Dickson is survived by his wife, Socorro
13 Dickson; his sons, William Dickson, Jr., George Dickson, and
14 Joseph Dickson; his daughters, Madonna Matteson, and Patricia
15 Fremgen; his daughter-in-law, Harper Dickson; his
16 sons-in-law, Steve Matteson and Joseph Fremgen; his
17 grandchildren, Simon, Asenath, Talia, and Elish Matteson, and
18 Joseph Fremgen; his brothers, George Dickson, Vince Dickson,
19 and Frank Dickson; his sisters, Marianne Dickson and Betty
20 Dickson; his sisters-in-law, Iris Dickson and Gail Dickson;
21 his brother-in-law, Simon Martinez; and several nieces and
22 nephews; therefore, be it
23 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY
24 OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his
25 family and friends, the death of William Dickson, Sr. of
26 Aurora, Illinois; may they find comfort in this time of need;
27 and be it further
28 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
29 presented to the family of William Dickson, Sr.
