1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3 to learn of the death of Arthur B. Hanlon of Norridge,
4 Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, Mr. Hanlon was born on October 11, 1921; he
6 attended Proviso High School, and was a sales representative
7 with different trucking firms for over 40 years; and
8 WHEREAS, Mr. Hanlon was a veteran of World War II,
9 serving in the United States Coast Guard, with the Destroyer
10 Escort Services Association (DESA); he was chairman of the
11 Building Committee for St. John of the Cross Parrish in
12 Western Springs, and President of the Broadview Little
13 League; Mr. Hanlon was affiliated with the Des Plaines Elks
14 Club; and
15 WHEREAS, Mr. Hanlon is survived by his wife, Jean
16 (Tamburrino) Hanlon; his son and daughter-in-law, Arthur and
17 Kristine Hanlon; his daughter and son-in-law, Johanna and
18 Robert Rooney; and his daughters, Margaret "Peggy" Hanlon and
19 Denise Tamburrino; his granddaughter and her husband, Bridget
20 and Michael Cullen; his grandchildren, Daniel Hanlon, Brendan
21 Hanlon, Micheala Hanlon, and Keelin Hanlon; his sister and
22 brother-in-law, Margaret and Arthur Kreiling; and his
23 sister-in-law, Mary Hanlon; he is also survived by many
24 nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; Arthur Hanlon was
25 preceded in death by his first wife, the late Frances
26 (Provenzano) Hanlon and his brother, the late Bernard Hanlon;
27 and
28 WHEREAS, Arthur Hanlon will be remembered for his easy
29 laugh and his great sense of humor; therefore, be it
30 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY
31 OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his

1 family and friends, the death of Arthur Hanlon of Norridge,
2 Illinois; may they find peace and comfort in this time of
3 need; and be it further
4 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
5 presented to the family of Arthur Hanlon.
