 1                     AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 298

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill 298 on page  2,  by
 3    inserting the following after line 27:
 4        "The  Illinois Department of Human Services shall develop
 5    educational materials and  make  copies  of  the  educational
 6    materials   available   to   pharmacists.   Pharmacists   may
 7    distribute  the  educational  materials  to  each  person who
 8    purchases  hypodermic  needles  as  authorized   under   this
 9    Section.      The   educational   materials   shall   include
10    information  regarding  safer  injection,   HIV   prevention,
11    syringe  disposal,  and  drug  treatment to be distributed to
12    persons   purchasing   hypodermic   needles   and   education
13    materials.".
