 1        AN ACT to amend the School Code by adding Section 21-2c.

 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section  5.  The School Code is amended by adding Section
 5    21-2c as follows:

 6        (105 ILCS 5/21-2c new)
 7        Sec. 21-2c.  Mentor teaching program.  The State Board of
 8    Education shall establish and administer  a  mentor  teaching
 9    program for persons who hold Initial Teaching Certificates.
