 1        AN  ACT  to  amend  the  State  Treasurer Act by changing
 2    Section 17.1.

 3        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 4    represented in the General Assembly:

 5        Section  5.   The  State  Treasurer  Act  is  amended  by
 6    changing Section 17.1 as follows:

 7        (15 ILCS 505/17.1) (from Ch. 130, par. 17.1)
 8        Sec.  17.1.  Rules. The Treasurer shall have the power to
 9    make and provide rules  and  regulations  necessary  for  the
10    effective  administrative  performance  of the duties imposed
11    upon him or her by law.  Such rules and regulations shall  be
12    promulgated   in  accordance  with  the  provisions  of  "the
13    Illinois Administrative Procedure Act", as amended.
