 1        AN ACT making appropriations.

 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section  5.  The  amount of $1, or so much of that amount
 5    as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue
 6    Fund to the Illinois Department of Transportation to  develop
 7    a Comprehensive Transit Plan for Illinois to increase service
 8    levels and rebuild the infrastructure.

 9        Section  99.  Effective  date.  This  Act takes effect on
10    July 1, 1999.
