 1                    AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1510

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill 1510, by  replacing
 3    lines 8 through 30 on page 1 and all of pages 2, 3, 4, 5, and
 4    6 with the following:

 5        "Section   5.  Contracts.   Contracts  that  include  the
 6    privatization  of  nursing  care  services  at   correctional
 7    facilities  shall  contain  a requirement that the vendor may
 8    not pay wages and benefits at a rate lower than that provided
 9    to entry level State nurses.

10        Section 10.   Application.   This  Act  applies  only  to
11    contracts entered into on or after the effective date of this
12    Act.".
