 1                    AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1776

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill  1776  on  page  6,
 3    line  26,  after "individual", by inserting ", corporation,";
 4    and

 5    on page 6, line 30, after  "individual's",  by  inserting  ",
 6    corporation's,"; and

 7    on page 7, by replacing lines 6 through 8 with the following:
 8        "(a)  A  candidate  receiving  public  matching funds may
 9    accept  contributions  from  individuals,  corporations,  and
10    political committees as defined by Article 9 of the  Election
11    Code   as   long   as  those  contributions  are  within  the
12    contribution limits of this Act."; and

13    on page 16, line 26, by replacing "$250" with "$1,000"; and

14    on page 20, line 17, by deleting "$5".
