AN ACT to amend the Sale of Tobacco to Minors Act by
changing Section 1.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

cigar, cigarette, smokeless tobacco or tobacco in any of its
forms. No person shall sell, buy for, distribute samples of
or furnish any cigar, cigarette, smokeless tobacco or tobacco
in any of its forms, to any minor under 18 years of age.
No person may sell, buy for, distribute samples of, or
furnish any cigar, cigarette, smokeless tobacco, or tobacco
in any of its forms, to any person 27 years of age or younger
without first demanding adequate written evidence of age and
identity of the person by the presentation of a document
issued by a federal, State, county, or municipal government,
or subdivision or agency of any of these governments
containing positive proof of the person's age and identity,
including, but not limited to, a drivers license, a
registration certificate issued under the Federal Selective
Service Act, or an identification card issued to a member of
the Armed Forces.
For the purpose of this Section, "smokeless tobacco"
means any tobacco products that are suitable for dipping or
chewing.
