1 AN ACT to amend the School Code by adding Sections
2 10-20.34 and 34-18.21.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Sections
6 10-20.34 and 34-18.21 as follows:
7 (105 ILCS 5/10-20.34 new)
8 Sec. 10-20.34. Medicaid-eligible children; health care
9 resources. As authorized by federal law, a school district
10 may access federally funded health care resources if the
11 school district provides early periodic screening and
12 diagnostic testing services, including screening and
13 diagnostic services, health care and treatment, preventive
14 health care, or any other measure, to correct or improve
15 health impairments of Medicaid-eligible children.

25 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
