AN ACT to amend the Illinois Public Aid Code by changing
Sections 4-1.12 and 9A-4.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by

Article.
(b) In addition to the months that the Department has
determined or will determine by rule not to count toward the
60 month limitation, the Department shall not count months in
which the adult receiving assistance under this Article is
the primary caregiver for a child in the assistance unit
under the age of 6 and is employed and earning income, or
engaged in self-employment for an average of 20 hours per
week.
