 1        AN   ACT   to   amend  the  Illinois  Endangered  Species
 2    Protection Act.

 3        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 4    represented in the General Assembly:

 5        Section  5.  The  Illinois  Endangered Species Protection
 6    Act is amended by adding Section 7.1 as follows:

 7        (520 ILCS 10/7.1 new)
 8        Sec. 7.1.  Exclusions from  designation.   The  following
 9    animal  species  shall  not  be  designated  as threatened or
10    endangered in Illinois:
11        (a)  Least brook lamprey - Lampetra aepyptera;
12        (b)  Eastern massasauga - Sistrurus catenatus; and
13        (c)  Indiana crayfish - Orconectes indianensis.
